EID Sheep Holding Register

Sheep Holding Registers are to contain the individual numbers of animals born or identified on or after 31 December 2009.  Slaughter animals are to be recorded in the holding register as batch movements when:

     • animal first identified/death
     • on/off movements from or onto a holding. 
       From 31 December 2009 batch information to be recorded for slaughter derogated animals and    animals born or identified before 31 December 2009: 

     However, where batch contains animals with different holding of birth identities, then the number of animals with each holding of birth identity must be recorded. 

     Note where Central point Recording applies the keeper must update his holding register with the individual animal information supplied by the CPRC within 48 hours of the animals leaving his holding.
